SUMMARY This was a very relaxed and enjoyable meet. Impressively realistic flights were made by the Stinson and the Super Cub piloted by Mike Clancy and Ed Solenberger respectively. The weather was almost perfect. But the 11 oz. all up weight of John Carlson's Luton Minor had to battle gusty scale winds of 30 mph! The Longster demonstrated consecutive loops and a 3-turn spin. Joe Jordan's Spitfire flew spectacular victory rolls. |

The Longster's 3-cylinder Anzani engine is made from three Cox 0.049's. Originally one was a live one as designed and built by John Carlson. As shown here it has been converted to electric by Andrew Tickle. Now all cylinders are dummies. |
